Hi all!
Merry (belated) Christmas!! Had fun during this wonderful festive? While you all are having your fun counting down to Christmas, few of our Dotbox members went to Man Fut Tong nursing home to spread this joyous season to the old folks there…
Reached Man Fut Tong at around 11.30am and had a little briefing from Chengze on our objective for the day. We are suppose to give a checking on the sound and light system and also do some performance to entertain the old folks but the entertainment part was cancelled. Our members proceeded on with the system checking and through this process, we gained insights of how these systems work, and hence able to put these skills into work for possible future similar events.
While checking the system, two of our members were called to help out in sorting some administrative work. Apparently the nursing home just had its flag day the day before. We helped out in organizing different categories of items used for Flag Day such as banners, stickers, stationeries etc.
Although we did not manage to really interact with the elderly, we did manage to do our little contribution to the nursing home that day; helping to push those wheelchair-bound to their eating area for lunch.

Be a volunteer
I can use my weekend like saturday ask a few friends to go help out in assi & hospice , take care of the elderly there, chit chat with them, entertain and interact with them. Give out some fruits, gifts and books to them, make them feel welcome, happy and entertained. Make their lives in there a more present one, with books, they are able to spent their time into reading and through reading, they will not be bored and they can learn many things through reading and becoming a better person.
Donation
Do flag day in orchard scotts road for charity to assi & hospice. The donations will proceed to assi & hospice. All donations from the flag day will help in assi & hospice greatly. From the collections of the flag day, assi & hospice will have more fund to carry out events, more activities can be carried out. Able to get more volunteers and staff for assi & hospice.
