Time: 9pm
Program: Ice Breaking Games [Life Journey & Rescue Me]

To allow the participants to get to know each other more and have good bonding among themselves, we had an ice breaking session. The first program we had was Life Journey. In this game, the participants [some of the committee members joined in as well] are required to draw out their memorable moments in their life from age 1 to 30 June 2006.

Participants busy drawing out their life journey...

Through the sharing seesion, we got to know everyone better and it was also a chance to get to know the inner them. After the session, we had a short quiz to see how much we could remember our friends and of what events in their life did we remember them for.

After which, the participants were seperated into 2 groups. We were then broke up and proceed to the next program: Rescue Me. In Rescue Me, participants are given a story about 8 different people on how they contributed to the society and a bit on their life stories. However, the cruise where they were on was sinking and out of 8 people, they could only save 3. So which 3 are they going to save?

Team 1 brainstorming on who to save

Team 2 engaging in the discussion

Team 1 representative, Mookie aka Lirong, sharing their team answer

Team 2 representative, Jeff sharing his team's answer

Team 1's finalised answers

Team 2's choices

After the teams came out with an answer, there were difference in their answers. Hence, the two teams were then combined together to compromise to 1 answer. In the midst of it, there were many small conflicts as Team 1 insisted on saving Terence while Team 2 refused to see Paul vanished with the cruise. After much discussions, slight arguements, reasonings and most of all, compromising, the participants chose Paul, Serene and Anna to be saved.

There isn't any right or wrong answer. The main purpose of this game is to stimulate the participants' cognitive thinking process and to see how they solve conflicts among themselves.

Time: 10pm
Program: Night Trail & Team Challenge

The next program we had was Night Trail & Team Challenge at nearby Sembawang Park. Likewise, participants are separated into 2 teams. They are supposed to complete 4 stations within 2 hours. However, here comes the challenge. They have to collect 5 color strips [either yellow or pink] before they can start on a station. The teams were given clues and a map to find their stations.
